The Winter 2022 Session of the PCA After-School Enrichment Classes is here! This session will be ALL VIRTUAL. Please read on to find more information about the process and class offerings.
Sign-Up Process:
• TO REGISTER: Visit the link associated with the class you’d like at 9pm on Thursday, January 13th, 2022. Registration ends at 9pm on Monday, January 17th, 2022.
• PAYMENT: Payment must be made by credit card online when you register.
• WAITLIST: Spots are given on a first come-first serve basis, once you complete the online registration/payment. If the class you are interested in is full, please email scpcaenrichment@gmail.com to be placed on a waitlist. In your email, indicate your child’s name, grade, teacher and the class you are interested in. We will contact you if a spot becomes available. This is the ONLY way to be added to a waitlist!
• SCHOLARSHIPS: A limited number of need-based scholarships are available; please contact Mrs. Wojcik for more information prior to registration.
• REFUND POLICY: We cannot issue refunds once registration and payment have been made.
• ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED: If you have not already done so this year, please sign and return the Waiver and Release and Acknowledgment of Student Behavior Policy (attached) and place it in your child’s school folder to be given to his/her teacher (this only needs to be done 1x per year).

MONDAY
3D Gamebuilder and Competitions with Minecraft – Grades 1-5 (8 students minimum) Description: Welcome to our incredible 3D Minecraft course! Are you ready to flex your creative muscles in Minecraft? Work together with fellow students on our own private servers to create awesome builds, amazing redstone contraptions, and exciting command blocks!
Valuable Learning Opportunities include individual/multiplayer builds, survival & learning crafting recipes, collaborating with others to create Minecraft™ maps, coding logic with Redstone & electric circuitry, game design, working with multiplayer servers, building competitions, and Minecraft™ tournaments within the class!
Minecraft accounts will be provided for all students, however students may use their own Minecraft™ Java Edition account if they would like Compatible Devices: Windows PC, Mac
Best User Experience: Our courses require a stable internet connection. Students may also want to use headphones if their device is not located in a quiet space. You may want your child to use a virtual background when logged into Zoom if you would like to block out the view of your child’s actual background – this is compatible with a wide variety of computers.

TUESDAY
Chess Nuts (Experienced Players Only)- Grades 1-5 (8 students minimum) Description: Don’t miss out on the chance to learn and improve your chess skills, followed by coached playing time! In addition to the lesson and coaching, this one hour weekly program features the opportunity for students to play unlimited chess games against other students anytime during the 6-week session! Superhero and Superheroine Training – Grades K-2 —Description: Join us for a supercharged work out that’s sure to keep all of our superheroes and superheroines on their toes. Lots of fitness, imagination and fun! Class features superhero movements, super powers and missions to save the world. Please come dressed as your favorite superhero or superheroine. WEDNESDAY
Game Design and Competitions with Roblox – Grades K-5: Description: At Roblox with Game Design & Competitions, you can design and create your own 3D games. Choose from a variety of templates, learn new skills, and customize your own game! Within your games, you can add awesome interactive features such as traps, doors, jump pads and drawbridges! You can even customize the terrain of your game to make it easy or difficult! Want to make a parkour course? Make sure to add lots of custom features to challenge each player. With so many tools at your disposal, you can hand-craft a game that is unique, fast-paced, and fun! Lessons in this course cover LUA Programming to bring life to different features in Roblox. You can also learn how to add characters to their environment and code cool features such as player health.
Valuable Learning Opportunities include exposure to building, engineering, and programming, as well as practice collaborating with others in multiplayer servers and tournament competitions!

ClayNation – Grades 2-5 (8 students minimum) Description: Join local favorite art studio, Claynation, for this crafty after-school program. Students will create lots of fun projects including ceramics, mosaics, and canvas paintings. Don’t miss the fun & creativity! Instructor: Claynation Instructor

My Style Camp – Grades 3-5 (10 students minimum) Description: My Style Camp fashion design, sewing & embellishing-Your Style! Your child will sketch, work on their creative process and make and embellish accessories. Art supplies, needle, thread, fabrics and patches will be supplied. Instructor: My Style Camp Instructor
