  • Friday May 8th Sea Cliff Jamboree. Registration Due April 17th, Monday auditions for Friday performance
  • May 2nd Family Photo Day at Bayville Beach. Form due April 29th

  • **Carnival Chairperson needed for SC Carnival in Sept. Need volunteers for food, games, prep, etc.
  • **Need a chairperson for Playground & Popsicles in Sept. Responsibilities include scheduling Kris Rice, Purchasing popsicles and coordinating volunteers.

  •  April 21st Earth Day. Hopefully we will have an outdoor event at 1:45 for the entire community. Dedication for the outdoor classroom.

  • Mr. Z provided clarification on academic support and state exams. Please contact Mr. Z regarding any questions on AIS, RTI and Special Education.

Dr. Ferris Middle School Presentation:

Gave parent orientation for incoming 5th grade parents. He explained that the 5th graders visit the school and are eased into life at middle school.

  • School provides an advisory program the first month of school.
  • There is a hallway for 6th graders only
  • Community of four teams
  • Hand place every child into classes
  • Electives are offered 6th-8th grade
  • The goal of NS Middle School is a safe, joyous and happy place.

 Brian Torres: El Nevado Project.

Gave a presentation on educating children in our school district on Climate Change. El Nevado refers to the peaks in the Andes that are losing snow and will have a strong impact on thousands of people that rely on the run off for fresh water. http://www.elnevadomovie.com
