PCA Co-Presidents: Danielle & Natasha

  • Organic gardens have been ordered and will be installed after winter.  Notices for parent volunteers will go out later this year.
  • We are having a Lego drive for recess.  Base plates are especially needed for the creation of a Lego wall.
  • Thank you Heather Cullen and Cara Duffy for the very successful spirit wear sale.  The PJ pants and sweatshirts were a hit.  We will try to have one more sale later in the year.

  • Cutting out the “middle man”  allows the farmers to receive more pay and customers to receive better prices.

  • order by 9am day before.  Sometimes certain bakers may need to know by Saturday if you ever notice that muffins etc. are not available to order on Sunday.

Deb McDermott:LAC
  • Working on changes to our tax cap.  Informative video on our website(link on Northshore schools website) about how our tax cap works and the issues with Pilots.
  • Working on making changes to many onerous, expensive mandates.  Make them more economically feasible
  • Keep up to date with LAC online
Sara Jones: Board of Education
  • very dedicated to working on our substance abuse awareness program.  Will be modeled after successful Manhasset program.
  • Plan on having a committee based organization with paid position
  • Have quality drug prevention information passed to parents.  Grade relevant
  • Superintendent search going on
  • 1/12 7:30 board meeting at high school
Nedra Bliefer: Nutrition Committee
 
  • Book house at outdoor classroom.  Considering making it a nutrition/health book house
